If you, as a data manager, wish a file to be deleted from the NDR, this request must be submitted using the Submit Edits workflow.
Use the empty "Comments" text box at the bottom of the form to state that you wish the file deleted and explain why. If you use the specific word "delete" within these comments, this should happen automatically within 24 hours.
If you select "Single" then only the file within the current ProjectID will be deleted.
If you select "Multiple" then all instances of that file within the NDR (based on their SHA512 number, not filename) will be deleted.
Requests for deletion of uploaded files not received through the edit request form will not be accepted.
If you wish to load the file to another ProjectID, you must first wait until the delete edit request has been processed, otherwise the new file might also be deleted.
To ensure the new files load correctly, you can make a very minor change to the file contents, for example, add a space. This will change its SHA512 number. It is also recommended to change the file name.
