By using the layers menu on the map, the available seismic data, and what it contains, can be more easily visualised.
There are three seismic layers on the default Layers Menu:
3D+ Seismic Projects (3D, 4D and OBS Survey Outlines)
2D Seismic Projects (2D Seismic Survey Outlines)
Site Seismic Projects (Site Survey Outlines)
Each of these layers has four sub-layers, for example:
Post-Stack Data Orange polygons relating to seismic projects that have available Post-Stack SEG-Y data.
Pre-Stack Data Green polygons relating to seismic projects that have available Pre-Stack SEGY data.
Acquisition Data Blue polygons relation to seismic projects that have available SEG-D field data or SEG-Y nav-merge data.
No Seismic Data Black polygons relating to seismic projects that have no available SEG-Y or SEG-D data.
The polygons in the seismic project layers have different line widths so that if you look at the same survey and have the multiple layers turned on you see all the layers rather than just the top layer, the width of the lines also changes with zoom.
In the below example of the polygons, you can easily see the surveys with post-stack only (just an orange line) vs the ones with data acquired and post-stack (orange line on top of a wider blue line).
Clicking on a project polygon filters the Project table to show the selected project, and launches a pop-up with summary information for the project, including a View Files button.
Clicking View Files will populate the Files Table with the files associated with the survey, which can then be previewed (both from the preview button and the right mouse menu), downloaded or added to a Session Basket.
The polygon will also turn grey.
If you click on the polygon again it turns pink and the option to preview the data appears on the map.
If when you select view files the polygon doesn't turn grey, the option to preview the data from the map will not exist. The most likely reason is that the CRS has not been set for the project, and therefore no file geometries have yet been processed. It will still be possible to preview the files from the Files Table.
