Submit Edit To The Files Table
To submit a request to change the metadata of the File Table columns, for example, a classification tag (CTAG) you need to click on the Project ID column of the file you wish to edit.
This brings up the following window:
You can add information to the right-hand column. The left-hand column is the currently held information. Not all information can be edited, guidance on this can be seen if you click on the 'show guidance' button at the top of the popup window.
Currently assigned C Tags are pre-selected. Additional C Tags can be added by holding the Ctrl key, then selecting from the list. Please ensure that all required C Tags are selected from the list before proceeding to Submit your edit.
There is a free text box at the bottom if, for example, you wish the file to be deleted.
Once you are happy with your proposed edits hit the 'suggest edit' button.
Edits are proposals and will not be immediately implemented.
Data managers editing their own data
Historic CTags, which are no longer valid, will be replaced by the new CTags selected, you do not need to "deselect" them as they will not be on the list.
Comments should not be added unless the file requires some form of intervention from the NSTA. This also applies to changes to the file descriptions.
Valid changes made without a comment are usually implemented within 24 hours.
Unnecessary comments slow the process of changing the file metadata.
Any change to the Reported nature of the file must be enacted by the Reporting Company and cannot be done on their behalf by the NDR service team.
Data Manager’s view of proposed Edits
Users with a Data Manager role can now see the status of their suggested edits via the UI.
The table shows for individual Data Manager the edit requests that they have submitted and their status.
To access the new feature, users with the Company Data Manager role can launch the Edit Data Requests UI from Manage > Edit Data Requests.
