Digital download
Once you have found the data you wish to download and you have added the files to your session basket, you can review them within the session basket.
Once you are happy with the files you wish to download you can select them by ticking the relevant box on the left-hand side.
You can select single or multiple files even if they have different Project IDs.
As soon as files are selected, two green tabs pop up offering the user the choice to create a download package from selection or request physical media.
The size of the selected data package will be displayed at the top left of the screen, and the company download usage for the month on the top right of the screen.
Approved organisations, including licensees, will each be able to download 3 Terabytes of NDR content in a calendar month, without paying a fee. This is per organisation, not an individual’s limit, and is reset at the start of each month.
As soon as the “create download package from selection” is chosen, the system will start to retrieve the data from storage and this action will count against your company’s monthly data download quota. A warning window shows when you hover your mouse over the tab.
After selecting “create download package from selection”, go to “Your Downloads” as directed by the instruction in the pop up window.
You will be asked to save a csv download request summary file. If you have not set your browser to allow you to choose the download location, it will go to your browsers default location.
In “Your Downloads” you will see a button “Refresh List” in the top left of this window. This button is initially greyed out when you first land on the page as the list is current. After 30 seconds the button will turn green and clicking it will refresh the list. The button will then grey out again for another 30 seconds.
Please ensure that you have enabled this site to download multiple files from your browser settings.
You will now be able to see data packages available for download, with the latest package being prepared indicated as shown in the following image.
Click the refresh button and the button will turn green to indicate that the data package is available to be downloaded. This process could take some time which is not necessarily dependent on the download file size.
You can choose the location to save the download package, otherwise, it will save to your browser’s default location.
The zip file will contain two files, a readme text and a csv inventory file, and the folder structure for the data.
Under the main folder will be the sub-folders
The download packages will expire automatically after 5 days, however, you may use the “expire manually” button, should you wish to purge the view.
